![]() Since it was released in 2014, The Elder Scrolls Online has proven to be a somewhat divisive game. I also feel like the community has been a lot nicer, but don’t quote me on that.Between The Elder Scrolls Online‘s recent free trial on Steam, its tantalizing place in the Game Pass library, and the fact that The Elder Scrolls 6‘s release date isn’t nearly as close as we’d like it to be, more and more people are suddenly wondering if now is the time to finally start playing The Elder Scrolls Online. Recently some in town loading screens have popped up and a bit more lag, but nothing compared to my time on PS4, and they can do hot fixes or just get down to fixing without having to jump through hoops. I switched and felt like I’d been living in the dark ages, even back on my ancient, dying Alienware that was older than my PS4. All of the performance issues I’d been experiencing were gone, and it was fast. ![]() ![]() I don’t use a lot of add ons but recently added a guild trader one and some map stuff so I could spend less time on google and price check sites.Īnother major improvement is no more loading screens of death, no more lagging out and then being DCed for spam, haven’t even heard of a mass/group DC in ages. Used to have to have a hot key, but now I’ve noticed I just have to press a button on the controller or keyboard to swap it back and forth. I have a wireless controller I use sometimes, you still need a keyboard to type, but it switches back and forth pretty seamlessly, the entire UI changes from the PC menus to console drop down menu, with default mapping, can literally plug and play immediately as far as I can tell. You don’t have to be confined to monitor if you don’t want to. Nvidia can help with graphics and Win11 also added HDR features for games. I’ve since made up for almost everything. ![]() I do miss the collection and everything I had, but my friends had already left so it was a good time to switch. Why can’t people just enjoy the game? Why does it matter what someone plays on? The game is the same no matter what. What’s wrong with playing the game the way it was designed? What is so wrong with that? I should be ashamed I like playing it the way it is? Is that what it is? This kind of shit is kind of why I fell out of the game because of this weird superiority complex people have because of a graphics card and ram and all that. IM SAYING that it’s not fucking terrible on console. I’m not saying that one is better than the other. And I implore you to give it a try before you start talking down on it. The game doesn’t look like shit on console. Like okay? You get the game at a higher frame rate? You can’t even run Skyrim past 60fps. You have this weird mindset that this game is trash on console because you paid $284719571058104 for a graphics card. Idk I just feel like I’ve enjoyed my experience better on console without ever having to upgrade anything in it or anything, it runs just fine the way it isĮdit: y’all PC people are kinda trash. I’ve never seen an instance of bots in the time I’ve been playing but I guess they’re there. The only thing you don’t get is add ons but I think it just adds more fun to the game to play it as designed anyways. I’ve never had an issue playing it on console for the amount of years I’ve been playing console. I feel like I have more control over my attacks and stuff with the color than a mouse. But they give a warning every time it goes down for maintenance. Unless the server is down for maintenance or PSN is being stupid. I also, at least on here, do see a lot of people complaining about server issues and such and that really honestly hardly ever happens on ps4. I personally enjoy the game just fine on ps4. Been playing on ps4 since console launch in 2015. I feel like I’m gonna be downvoted but it is what it is.
